Some 20 years ago, Irishman Martin Cosgrave looked at a closed-down pizza parlor near the train tracks in Brookfield and saw an Irish pub.
It’s a good thing he did. Today, the Irish Times Pub and Restaurant is the winner of the XRT best outdoor patio award, and it was named Best Destination Pub in the Midwest by Chicago’s Best.
It’s easy to see why. Walking into the doors of Irish Times is just like walking into a pub in Co. Galway where Cosgrave is from.

Irish Times is open Sunday through Thursday from 11am-1:30am and Friday and Saturday from 11am-2:30am.
