Hecho en Oak Park

Meet us where food is a state of mind

It’s not only food, it’s a state of mind. That’s the motto at Hecho en Oak Park where Chef Saul Garcia seeks to reinvent the way we think about food.

The name of the taqueria derives from Hecho en Mexico, a label for Mexican-made products. Hence the name Hecho en Oak Park where even the corn tortillas are made fresh from scratch every day.

Garcia’s menu is designed with Mexican antojitos (little cravings) in mind!

On the antojitos menu, you’ll find Queso Fundido, which is freshly baked chorizo or poblano peppers and chihuahua cheese topped with tomatoes, onions, and cilantro, or Elotes, which is corn on the cob rubbed in mayo, queso cotija, and chili powder.

The breakfast menu includes Huevos con Nopales (two scrambled eggs with Mexican cactus petal and smashed black beans with a homemade corn tortilla) and Chilaquiles (fried tortilla chips and tomatillo sauce topped with onion, cheese, and sour cream served with two over-easy eggs and a side of rice and beans).

Of course, you’ll also find a wide selection of fresh-made tacos and margaritas at this taqueria and cantina!
