This week I had the privilege of having not just a great Airbnb experience, but a transcendentally wonderful experience that reaffirmed to me the joy of traveling. Elizabeth welcomed us into her home with a warmth and thoughtfulness that made us feel that we were exactly where we belonged. From the booking process to check-out, Elizabeth went above and beyond to assure our comfort and ease in traveling. We had the pleasure of meeting Elizabeth outside the property one morning. She shared with us a bit about her life and her experience as a Chicagoan. She also made sure to give us several sightseeing recommendations and tips on how best to travel in the city. I cannot overstate how amazing it felt to make this human connection with Elizabeth. Speaking with her felt like speaking with an old friend. To make this connection with someone while traveling is special, to make it with your host is a gift. Any traveler to the Windy City should have Elizabeth’s space at the top of their list.
