Meet us where the flaming cheese brings people together

Are you looking for the flaming cheese that Chicago’s Greek restaurants are famous for bringing to your table? You’ve found the place!

Even people who live in Chicago’s Greektown hop on the western bound “L” train for the pan-seared Saganaki at Papaspiros. With imported Greek cheese doused in brandy and lemon juice, the flaming treat is always brought to your table with the customary“opaa!”

It’s not just the flaming cheese that makes Papasiros special, though. It’s the authentic Greek food served with excellent customer service in a festive atmosphere that keeps people coming.

Try the Keftedakia, which is broiled Greek meatballs drizzled with lemon and olive oil, or the Octapodi, which is tender grilled octopus drizzled in Greek vinaigrette.

Reviewers say that the Gyro found at Papasprios is the best in Chicago. For this delightful Greek sandwich, an open flame is used to cook the lamb and beef, which is served with tzatziki sauce.

Of course, if you just want to skip straight to the lamb, you can always opt for the Kokinisto, which is Papaspiro’s special Braised Lamb Shank.

Pair your meal with a glass of wine or a craft beer straight from Greece! Oopa!
