The nearly three square miles that make up Schiller Park were incorporated in 1914.  O’Hare International Airport’s next door neighbor keeps almost as busy as the airport. Schiller Park is also historically significant for several reasons most notably for Julia Marenga Kolze, the first woman mayor not only for Schiller Park, but the entire state. Today this community lays out the welcome mat for visitors and they are always welcome to events like movie nights in the park and Rockin’ in the Park concert series.  If you like craft beers, check out Short Fuse Brewing Company where they have live music every Friday and Saturday.
