River Forest has packed a lot into it’s nearly two and a half square miles. The Forest Preserves of Cook County is headquartered here and their Trailside Museum of Natural History.  Prairie Style architecture is common in River Forest and it is Home to Frank Lloyd Wright’s first commission. Several sites in River Forest are on the Frank Lloyd Wright house walk tours for anyone who wants see more of Wright in River Forest.  The village is also home to two universities. Concordia University and Dominican University both have beautiful and historic campuses here. Community events are common here and often the village teams up with its neighbor, Oak Park, for them.
