Forest Park with it’s nearly two and a half square miles was incorporated in 1907, it was originally part of a larger town named Harlem (now you know how Harlem Avenue got its name). Forest Home Cemetery is located here and the annual Cemetery Tour is a popular event.  Once known as the village of cemeteries, Forest Park once had a ratio 30:1 dead to alive.
