This Village is probably best known for being the home of the world-famous Brookfield Zoo. Open every day of the year, the 216-acre zoo contains nearly 3,000 animals.

After you have explored the many areas of the Zoo, continue your stay in Brookfield with a stop at the History Train Depot. Shop in unique business areas and stay for dinner at any of our distinct restaurants. We hope your visit can coincide with our various special events such as Brookfest, and an old-fashioned Fourth of July parade and community holiday celebration, custom car and motorcycle shows, Oktoberfest and free concerts in Kiwanis Park.
