Berkeley is made up primarily of attractive, single family homes. The charm of the Village and its parks is only surpassed by its accessibility to virtually anywhere in the state or country. Berkeley maintains a quiet, "hometown" feeling while being adjacent to two tollways, an expressway and a railroad. The picturesque Illinois Prairie path runs through the center of Berkeley (a great destination for walkers, joggers and nature lovers) and offers a well-lit send-off to trail leasing to Aurora, Wheaton and beyond. There is also a historic cemetary, "Old Settlers Cemetary", with graves from the 1800s.
